Newborn Shoots

For your baby: our studio has a selection of baby outfits, wraps and accessories that you can use free of charge. You’re welcome to bring something personal too, like a special blanket or outfit. Please also bring a well-stocked diaper bag with extra diapers, wipes, muslin cloths, bottle feeding supplies (if not breastfeeding), and a pacifier.
For yourself: a white and black tank top, a white blouse, and a white and black t-shirt. A strapless bra in black and white is also useful. If you also had your maternity shoot with me, feel free to bring those dresses or fabrics again for continuity.
For your partner: a plain white or black shirt or t-shirt, neatly ironed for the best results.
Tip: Avoid tight clothes or socks before the session, as they can leave marks on the skin.

If your baby falls asleep in the car, we’ll begin right away with family photos. Please make sure your baby arrives wearing a photo-ready outfit, and that you and your partner are already dressed for the first images.
After that, we’ll undress your baby down to the diaper, change if needed, and give a feed. The studio will be warm and cozy. Once fed, we take time to burp and settle your little one before continuing.
We’ll photograph family moments, tiny details like hands and feet, and portraits of your baby alone. The flow always depends on your baby’s needs. We often try wrapping techniques using soft fabrics — many babies find this comforting, though not all.
Important: Please ensure your hands and nails (and those of your partner) are well-groomed — hands appear in many of the images.

You’ll receive a curated online gallery within 2 to 3 weeks after your session. From there you can download your images or order prints.

That’s completely okay. Newborn sessions are baby-led and slow for a reason. There’s plenty of time for feeding soothing and breaks. I’ve worked with many babies and always follow their rhythm.

Yes of course. Life with little ones can be unpredictable. If something comes up just let me know as soon as possible and we’ll find a new date that works for you.
